What do I need to stop the pads rattling?

You'll find if your discs are rattling then you have a serious problem - like your wheels are about to fall off! The discs are clamped between the hub and wheel by wheelnut pressure.
If you actually meant rattling pads (which I'm sure you did) then it's a case of, as stephen says, making sure the springs are fitted right, are strong enough and then whack on the lotus buffers. Don't be tempted by Geary's ones, as by experience of a few folk on here, they are crap
