Kumho Ecsta KU31 is what I mentioned to Woody :D .

Tyres are a v. personal choice and depend largely on budget. I've tried both the BFGs and T1Rs, and am going for the Kumhos next. I have very little experience driving on the narrower factory size tyres so can't comment on them, but I've found the wider tyres great for road use as well as track use. Wider S1 sizes are: Front - 195/50/15, Rear - 225/45/16.

BFGs were great but the rears are no longer made.

T1Rs are great after a few thousand miles, but I found, and quite a few others have said, that they take some (a lot) of scrubbing. Could be that for the first couple of thousand miles I ran with my old BFG pressures (24F and 25R). Since then, I've switched to something like 26F and 27R and they're a lot better, but I don't know if they'd have been better from the start. Softer sidewalls give them a bit of a 'wooley' feeling. Certainly recommend a bit more air for them.

Kumhos have had some very good reviews so I'm going to try them next.

Marangonis - Sanjoy's just fitted a set and from what he said they were jelly to start with and then got a bit better. Will be checking to see how he gets on with them as I don't know of anyone else using them (apart from the chap who won a set).

But if you've got the cash then get the Yoko Advan Neovas :thumbsup (bearing in mind they're more than twice the price... )
