Hi,
I would rebuild as a 1900 (assuming the block damage can be weld repaired) with old crank but new forged pistons/rods, balanced properly (e.g. by vibration free). That's going to get you close to the Honda power and revs (8K RPM then achievable and I would expect 200BHP at least with your current head, albeit with some verniers to set the cam timing properly).
If you're not in a rush, there is a possibility that I have a complete 1.8K 220BHP engine for sale, though it's in bits at the moment so would need to be reassembled ... there are two people with first refusal (one on the block, one on the head) ... you could use just the block and your existing head, but you'll need newer cams if you want to go beyond 200BHP. PM me if interested and I'll give you some more details.
I'll give you a few quid for the old block as-is (i.e. still assembled). If you decide to go Honda, the emerald, airbox, throttle bodies, motorsport head, etc. will sell for a fair price I think.
Cheers,
Robin

When Ronnie was fitting two new rear tyres, we had a closer look and saw the thread sticking out from the bottom corner of the body.
Could not reach it, but he had one of these long thin claws which did the job. Went home on the back roads and had a great run in t-shirt weather. Used over two tanks of fuel on the track, so was well knackered when I got home.
