I have heard of people hammering in other objects or drilling out the bolts.....neither is much fun!
Hopefully soaking in WD40 will work miracles........ (hope you are luckier than me!).

Crack!! There goes the tool

Code number is 883 if anyone has one but suspect I need Murray's to sort this one for me.

Does anyone have Craig's mobile, thought I drop him a text in case he gets the chance to bring something with him that may help...

Peter, also a chance that Ronnie has a method.

When you get it sorted throw all four away, first job to do on an Elise, unless maybe you live in Toxteth.

I know the S1 locking wheel nuts are slightly differant but after someone overtightened the ones on mine Ali was able to get them off with A Locking Wheel Nut Removing tool in less than 5 mins/the pair
Its just a fluted socket with the flutes at an angle hammer it on and unscrew as usual ~chewed the nuts up a wee bit but they were still servacable ~ just don't torque them up as much now
Was so impressed we Lachie and I got a set will throw them in the car tomorrow as popping over to KH after some chores first thing am

Same as mine :(

3mm dosen't sound too bad. They might last the day but keep checking.

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

IIRC the insides usually wear worse and they are very difficult to see?

Just seen this!

Unfortunately the McGuard (sp?) locking nuts on the S2 are a total pain to get off. On the fronts, where you can actually see them, I usually weld a nut on to remove them but the rears are so far recessed the only way to get them off is drilling them out. It is not a quick process and its easy to damage the wheel.

The only other thing you could try is to loosen the other three bolts a few turns and drive the car around a bit. That someitmes slackens a stubborn bolt off. would need replacing afterwards though.
