Excellent
Shug is mapping his car soon and no doubt will write it all up for us
It is quite easy

Just saw this... Yes, I'm currently using one of Stu's wideband kits to map the car. Typically, it's coincided with a busy work period, but I've already got some positive results from the commute cycle.
Full write up after MT, methinks

Just ordered a wide band it wires straight into the ecu so maybe next week I can get a mot and start using the car at last
hope its as easy as folk say

Haven't a clue how the DTA will do it, but if it live maps as (i believe) you said, it should be a piece of cake.

Had a wee butchers at the DTA site.
It says you can adjust the lambda map - which I assume means you can tell it which AFR you want at each load/speed site. All you need is sensible numbers here (and Lawrence is the man to talk to on that front) and the "Auto tune" function, should (as I read it) do the hard work.
Sounds good.... Mr Ironside is beavering away to get the same functionality out of the wee suite of programs we currently use to do it on the Emerald.
Only thing I'd add would be an AFR gauge in the cockpit for peace-of-mind. Also, I'd assume the Wideband would include details of it's calibration (volts vs. AFR) Don't know, but that may need to be input to the ECU.

I understand I only require a target map it then auto tunes to it ,
volts vs afr is programed in all I do is tick a box to tell it what sensor ie Lc1-Lm1 , Ngk type A, Etas La4, 4 wire bosch. but they can be edited
theres also this

not too sure about the lambda pid settings ect
hope this Lc1 thingy is ok as thats what I have ordered If I required a gauge I quite like the look of this one

the gauge suits the elise dash
but its too late now

Ah - so it's already pre setup for different sensors? Excellent. Question is about the target map - is it a fuel map or a AFR map? I'd have thought it would be an AFR map, but it may be cleverer than I (which isn't too hard

) I don't know how the ECU would work out how well the engine burns the fuel to work back to a fuel map from the air/fuel ratio.
The LC1 appears to be excellent - it's the one in the kit I'm using.
Only reason I said about the gauge is that I'm not 100% trusting of electronics and I'd like to know if it's doing something daft (or more likely I've wired something daft) and it's running the engine dangerously lean.

Its a 20 x 14 AFR target map with a graph
theres a gauge on the real time display and live maping display, but
of course if the lc1 is not calibrated right then the gauge will be out

Cool.
One assumes that because the LC1 would need to produce very accurate & repeatable voltages, there won't be much variation in them. In any case, a separately sourced standalone gauge would probably have the same issue as the ECU. I trust the one I'm using as it came in a kit and is calibrated to that specific LC1. Probably me being paranoid though... Ask me why!
Let us know how you get on with it!
Oh, and I'd love a poke about the software any time we meet up
