Timber kit you say.

I think a barn raising is in order - when's best for everyone? I'm off the second and third weekends in July.

I like the fridge idea, otherwise constant trips to the kitchen might be suspicious.

On the other hand, on winter maybe just leaving them out would do the trick (or they could freeze solid ;) )

I'll first do the concrete floor and then ask for help.
If we organize ourself we just could do almost all of it on a weekend...

Not tempted with a pit, Uldis?

Or are you hankering after a ramp like Mr Hoy?

Ramp.

Feel claustrophobic with a pit...
(besides, they need a lot of work to keep water out)

You said it - one of my many holiday jobs it to tank my pit and finish off waterproofing the roof.

I'll also be building in a sump so that it can be pumped out if required.

Mac remember to do the roof first coz the pit is the only thing stopping you from getting a wet floor.
Ulidis if i can i'll come up too. Is it a timber garage or timber kit with brickwork?
what are you doing for a roof? - Done lots of roofs I have.
If you can have a duct put in to allow services to the garage. Hot & cold running water makes a huge difference.

If you're not living on the edge you're wasting too much space!

Roof's 80% done - and the remaining 20% doesn't leak but will treat it anyway.

Handy having someone in FM around though

It's a timber kit without brickwork (if it makes sense).
Didn't think about hot and cold water, but could leave a duct I assume.
