S1 Cant Rails

a little more complicated, you spread it on both surfaces, let it go tacky (few mins) then push together for an instant bond.

Mine do this too, I have the old school clips, I just tighten the screw whenever it comes loose. It's never really bothered me . . .

. . . until Sunday, when I put the roof on Fergus' car which is a 2000 model and had the new ace clips on his cant rails and they were way better! I'm considering thinking about changing mine now, but probably won't as I will forget if it's awhile before I see the new clips again :wink:

tightened the screw last night. it partly alleviates the problem, but it seems the RH rail doesn't fit as snugly as the LH one. To get the better clips, do I need new rails, or can i fit new clips to the current rails?? :?

(i've never actually seen the newer clips, so i've no idea what they look like, or how they fit... :? Anyone help?)

AFAIK, the newer clips just screw in place of the older ones. Not having seen them with my own eyes, though, I couldn't promise you :lol:
