I seem to recall that both of you actually favour the S1 in most instances.

My preference changes like the weather and is normally inspired by the weather.

The S1 is fun in the dry but leaks like a rusted out sieve. The S2 is more of an involving drive and you arrive with a feeling of satisfaction - the fact that it's easier to get in and out off, is more comfortable and doesn't leak can be a bonus.

Thanks for the enlightenment. Sounds like the S2 is for me then as its my only car (well if you dont count the half finished one in the garage but thats another story since its Italian not British)

To you guys it must sound a bit gay to add a mobile phone kit but to my "BMW/Audio executive car" colleagues I am as mad as a hatter to have such a car for turning up at customer meetings with. Mind you its funny how many petrol heads there are out there and they always surface when they see the Elise in their visitor car park.

Cheers :)
