Yeah, would need to use jacking positions B (front) and D (rear subframe) - so undertray off first. I would still be a bit worried about it slipping off in 'transit'...

I bit more thought required on how to get the car onto the dolly, maybe ratchet up the castors...or jack up the cradle into place lifting the car then lock in castors axle stand stylee...

I think a patent is required... ;)

Let's face it, the rate that S1s are popping up for rebuild now, there's got to be a club market for this ;-)

Would love to see my neighbours' faces as I wheel the part-naked Elise out the garage, into the cul de sac, do a couple of pirouttes with pike then glide it back into the garage the other way round. They already think we're nuts...

Hats off for tackling this sort of thing in a single garage. I'd like to do wishbones this winter but with such a thin garage, without the clams off, it's like to be difficult. I've barely enough room to jack it up.

Sounds like a project...

Single garage has plenty of room.

I've built a Westfield, rebuilt the S1 (twice), carried out numerous conversions with other shenanigans (Race Seat :D )

My garage isn't quite as wide as that!

However, after watching the very moving soldier piece on Top Gear tonight I realise that anything is possible. (y)
