So onto my next point...
How easy is it to open the bonnet when the latch has stuck ?
I've been wd40'ing it for last three days to no avail.
Acording to the internet wisdom it's front wheel and wheel arch off to get to it (rhs)
Anyone found a better technique ?
By better I mean easier ...
I have done it but not for a while. With two of you you can prize with a screwdriver and push it side to side at the same time. Might mark it a little but not noticeable on N3.

You wont reach just via wheel arch , If I remember you can pull the arch down ( I think pax side can check tomorrow ) you will need a torch and a rod / dowl
you have to push the catch to release ie its cable pulls on the latch you will be pushing from the other side ( but harder ) if you understand
If poss ask someone to wriggle the bonnet at the same side l/r f/r
It sounds like your catch requires adjusting, the bonnet pin is also adjustable to an extent

Might seem like a weird request, but could someone take a picture of the locking mechanism and send it to mee ?
I've managed to get bonnet up about half inch, when I push it back down it locks into place, but even when up an inch, it wont open...
Can send it straight to my phone if you want, 07714034221.
To get it to lift, I pushed the rod away from the windscreen

It's ok, finally got it.
Once it popped up an inch, the bonnet just needed levered forward a bit.
That's what I get for repairing the hinge....
