I wish I'd had 4mm left on the way back from Cadwell!

I reckon I only used 2 - 3mm of the AD08's I had for Oultwell. 2 bone dry tracks and a fair few laps which is pretty good going I thought.

Not sure what they'll be like on a heavier car (what weight is the V6?) but they were excellent for that trip and no issues with harsh ride etc. I didn't notice ay difference in grip levels and if anything they were better than the R888's I used at Knockhill as they didn't get overheated like the R888's can. I've not tried the Avons so can't comment on them really. AD08's are a good bit cheaper than the semi slick R tyres too, which is nice. :D (AD08's are £490 a set compared to £640 a set for any of the R's in Elise sizes)

That's most likely what I'll use for FF. 8)

Actually AD08's in V6 size rears are £240  so maybe not.

The Pirelli PZeros are only £140 for the rears and £124 for the fronts on tyreleader and Pneus. :thumbsup

Those aren't the Corsas that are on the V6. Cheapest I could find was Mytyres at £197 for rears and £146 for fronts.

They do look the same but AFAIK it's a different compound and has LS on it which has to be worth an extra £60

Neil, remember "tyres are just consumables" - so you don't add that cost into the Frolic costs .............. :damnfunny
Two negatives make a positive but only in Scotland do two positives make a negative - 'Aye right.'

Obviously this is on a nice light 2-11 not a lardy V6 or overpowered SC Honda S1. ;)

It was the cheaper P Zero's I had on for Oulten and Cadwell earlier this month as the new tread depth is more than the Corsa's, I had been hoping it was going to be wet. Turned out it was only wet on the way down and very wet on the way back up. To be honest they stood up really well on track, plenty of tread left after two dry day's on track. Although they aren't quite as inspiring as the ZZR's or 888's I still managed to lap Cadwell behind Doug in his V6 on ZZR's for nearly 30 mins. I checked my lap times against my last visit there and latest lap time was 3 to 4 secs quicker. ( Obviously more confident about where I was going on the track)

Biggest benefit was driving on very wet roads they felt even better than the standard Corsa's.

I'll be sticking with them over the winter and get back on 888's or ZZR's for Frolic.
