Ah now in the spirit of rattle reduction i've got a whole envelope of nylon washers and stainless fasteners to put the undertray back on.

It'll be like a new car!

Put a Honda in it - Craig will no doubt refit the under tray as part of that and put your nylon washers on ;-)

Started getting a squeak when turning at low speeds that is annoying. Had the access panels off and when searching in the foot well I managed to get some silicon spray to when the rack goes through the tub but hasn't helped. Its an s2 elsie, anyone got any fixes?

There is a grommet in there that dries out and snags up - ended up so bad on Elaine's old car that it caught, peeled up and dragged on the steering column. Craig supposedly has a way of changing in situ, but I didn't find out what it was - it just got done during a routine service.

Sticking plaster is to hose the grommet in silicone spray as you've done - did you do the one in the footwell, or is it the same one you got from the other side from the service hatch? Trying to get in either side probably won't hurt.

If it's the bulkhead grommet it's not that difficult a change? Need to undo the steering UJ bolts & wiggle the FWD one off the rack, then the you can swap the grommet out.

Have you been speaking to Craig by any chance?

Why didn't I do that last year? (Well because there was only MMC and I couldn't face driving down to Englandshire, and I was in a hurry and the car's fine with a K in it. Better in fact. Original. Quieter. Not too fast.)

If you Honda it you might even be able to sell it back to Ape at some point?

Got in from the footwell and got the straw through but could get in far enough from the access panel. Never had it in at Craigs yet but might stick it in for a good check over and brake fluid change and can ask him for this at the same time.

Cheers guys
