The material is quite fragile and the backing plates do corrode when exposed to road salt. I've had 4 sets now and never had the separation issue. Just to be clear. If you are fitting new disks, I would ALWAYS fit new pads at the same time. This is why I have this spare set lying about as I realised stupidly that I needed disks after fitting pads. I think it would be a false economy to put second hand pads on, especially ahead of a big trip.


EDIT: You'll be fine with your 120hp. Spa is still awesome in a standard K.
