How easy is it to remove the seats? Thoughts from MMC is that the water is coming up through the chassis? Which appears to be where the water is - you can see it pouring in in the passenger footwell!

They offered to take the seats out and reseal it all! However - with labour rates of $1million per hour I think I should give it a go over Christmas!
My mum's offered me her Merc for a week and I have access to their garage for as long as i want! - surely it can't take even me longer than a week to ttake out the seats, reseal the tub and put the seats back in?

Thoughts?

Speak to JJ - he had the seats out of his S1 and replaced with the S2 variants.

Taking seats out of an S1 looked easier to me than taking them out of an S2. I tried to get the pax one out once and gave up after 20 mins of trying.

Just wait till it freezes, that's when the fun begins. Frequently used to find myself lying on the pavement on a cold morning after forgetting about frozen footwells. :D

Not very helpful comment right enough, but it used to amuse the neighbours greatly.

Tiger seal every joint? Sounds like a chassis leak, seems to be cropping up alot recently on SEC*CK too.

My roof now leaks so much I wouldn't notice a bit more from a chassis leak...
