Probably a good stance to take RichardHumble... It's typical 'new parent syndrome'. Yes it seems to run fine... and I guess that any unplugged sensors would have been recorded on ECU (which would have been spotted when they did the service).

I'm just a parnickety b4rstew4rd.

Yes, the actuator is vacuum driven, but the point at which it opens is controlled by the ECU driving a solenoid valve.
