I wasn't planning on anything so drastic - I like to stockpile parts :-)

Seriously the protechs are a total unknown, so once I get them fitted I might hate them and want to switch back to the well behaved LSS soon enough!

Cheers,
Robin

ah, you've just got them. my next question was what are the protechs like?

I looked at them for a mini a while ago (coilovers) but there didn't seem to be much info around about them. Rumered to have old nitron internals?

Isn't that what simons got/had? And didn't he have all sorts of trouble with their customer service being non-existent?

Could the S2 LSS be "re-sprung" with slightly lower rated springs without upsetting the "matching" to the presumably quite highly uprated dampers? Just out of interest ;-)

I wouldn't respring the LSS - the damper rates are not adjustable (unless they share the "self" adjustment with the normal S2 bilsteins?).

Protech are friendly but a bit disorganised and expect you to be able to sort stuff out. They sent both myself and simon the wrong spring lengths and we had to fork out more to get workable springs using shorter springs plus tender springs to stop the rattle on full droop.

Still never driven a car on them as I bought them for the shed, removed them when they didn't fit, got Mark Hutchinson to make up and source the bits I actually needed and then sold the shed before I collected them again.

Will be interesting to see how well they work on the S2 135R though!

Cheers,
Robin
