Fair enough.. but Gazbo was asking about the S2 135R shocks, so just thought I'd mention it.Gazbo wrote:If the upgrade is S1 to S2 then why not go for the adjustable shocks (ALS2C6001F & ALS2D6001F) and motorsport ARB from the S2 135R?!
S2 Bilstein suspension on S1
For avoidance of doubt.
The S1 135 Sport was not shipped with uprated suspension (though it was, as with all S1s, an option).
The S2 135 Sport was also not shipped with uprated suspension.
The S1 Sport 160 WAS shipped with uprated suspension (Koni).
The S2 135R WAS shipped with uprated suspension (Bilstein).

Just go for the S2 kit, it works better on the lighter S1 anyway.
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....
Agreed that the S2 suspension is excellent choice for all round car, S1 or S2.John Reid wrote:

*BUT* the S2 really isn't that much heavier than the S1, especially when you consider all the extra stuff you are normally carrying - my S2 weighs 745kg - pretty much the same as a later S1. Then you add the driver in - me driving your car and you driving me car makes your car heavier than mine
OTOH, Mac, Jason and I can all swap around with little to no penalty
Cheers,
Robin

Have to say.... Simon in his S2 would be lighter than me in my S1...robin wrote:Agreed that the S2 suspension is excellent choice for all round car, S1 or S2.John Reid wrote:
