Possible HGF symptoms?
Trouble is with HGF they can go but have very few symptoms. What you have is a case of K series paranoia. We all get it.
Get a block test done (SE has a couple of test kits) only takes a minute (Literally), check the plugs are not steam cleaned, check the oil is clean of spunk and isn't going up ot down much, check the water is clear of spunk and not going up and down (Check when cold)
If none of these show problems then its fine. Probably. As long as you keep an eye on all your fluid levels (Including spunk!) then you will find out as quick as a workshop will.

He seemed to have an aversion the the 'Creme Brulee' in his header tank and vom'ed a bit on the way back from the south of France...
Could just be overfilled (due to the opaque nature of said Creme Brulee coated tank) and jettisoning the excess...

We can do it this weekend it only takes a few minutes and the fluid is wasted if only one car is tried
Not sure many of you would recommend me driving the car from Dundee to Edinburgh to detect HGF

The 'cold' coolant level is pretty much on the minimum line again. Tried to check the plugs and my damn plug key doesn't fit, I'll go deep socket shopping/borrowing from my mechanic tomorrow

I would just leave the coolant, check it after every drive, as long as it's not using water or oil and there is no spunk in either, drive it to Lawrences and get a Jedi's opinion and a block test. Otherwise you will never go anywhere and just throw money away chasing ghosts
No promises it won't go bang, but I would go for it and drive down.

Cheers,

There hasn't been any steam from the exhaust except this morning and it was raining last night.
I've just realised it's BTCC on Sunday, so i'm thinking sod it, i'll take the car to KH and fingers crossed all will be fine. I'm starting to think i'm living in fear of something that hasn't happened.
I will check the plugs for sure tomorrow, and maybe take the car further than 7 miles to see how the levels change too. Damn these silly Rover engines!
