Hardly the last piece of the puzzle but the jobs list is getting shorter.C7Steve wrote:Gourlay83 wrote:Mike, if you want it fitted in the car and started (for peace of mind) let me know. I'm needing to pick up my welder anyway, Fiesta has a small crack in the exhaust.
AlanCome on boys, do you really think after all the sweat and tears that Mike has been through, that he will let you put in the last piece of the jigsaw and steal his wee moment of glory.graeme wrote:Give me a shout if you're over Alan. I'll give you a hand/get in the way.
Chancers the both of you
Steve.
Cheers for the offers and sorry I couldn't reply sooner but was mega busy all trip and really haven't given the car much thought. Home now though so will get back to it soon enough.
With regard to the clocks, it is a wiring change that is causing the problem so rather than butcher the new loom in the hope of resolving it I have opted to fit a new set of 06-07 model year clocks which were picked up at a much reduced rate. Once the car is all done I'll get the mileage wound forward to match the old set.
Current job list looks like this:
Fit ECU and new clocks
Fit new front seats
Install rear bulk head trim panel. Bit of a bugger this one now the harness bar is in.
Finish installing the boot lid release mechanism. This has proved to be considerable more difficult than first thought. getting it lined up and at the correct angle is key.
Install last upgraded engine mount. Been putting this off many times as it looks like a bit of a pig to do.
Last of the fluids into the car
New anti roll bar to fit
Fit the one remaining AC pipe and get the system recharged and tested.
Send the Ohlins to plans motorsport to have the longer elise/exige rods fitted rather than the current 2-11 ones.
Geo the car
Fit front clam.
New front disc's ( calling Stu, you have PM)
Bleed brakes and clutch.
