I fitted a quaife LSD to my Honda and it made a noticable difference to the car in that you had to be very very careful with power oversteer. As regards performance and except on tight hairpins I believe if the car is setup properly its not needed.

It definatly helps with traction but grip would be the same, I believe it will have a place but reckon if the car is balanced properly its not needed.
I didnt make that much torque, i think around 220 ft/lbs so cant comment on the k24 but on track I thought that when on the limits of grip there was no progression before snap oversteer (most likely because of my inabilty to be modular with th throtle). Also on slow speed corners I felt the car tried to push you straight on. Im really comparing to rover or toyota cars so its difficult but when driving tuts honda on track I felt it to have a larger safety margin on the limit (I realise safe and tuts car shouldnt be in the same sentence!). Thing is the LSD probably is quicker but I felt at the cost of my enjoyment.
Dont want to discourage anyone contemplating an LSD its just my impression. Also I dont race the cars they are only for fun so have different perpectives.
There are a few guys running K24s down south but dont know what they have, either way Colin doesnt need it :D

LSD will help in slow speed, tight corners buy may induce mid corner understeer in quicker, more open corners. the main downside is the car becomes a lot less forgiving, once you reach the limit you have to be very quick to catch it. Again this was a Quaife ATB fitted to a K series but suspect the out come would be the same. You might be able to dial out the less favorable treats by altering your geo. I read that Lotus only supply one because of market forces and wouldn't fit one themselves due to it's effect on the cars handling. That said, they fit it as standard to the GT4 2-11 with the sandev sequential gearbox.

You know what happens to an underpowered car when you add power ... it won't have enough grip :-)

Not Quite,

Remove the OEM Filter and replace it with a High Flow Motorsport one.

You don't have a return on the Engine Fuel Rail and the return from the Swirl Pot to Tank should be on the Top.

Alan (My opinion only)

Edit : Are you replacing the Fuel Rail with a Feed/Return one ? If so I believe you could do away with the T and Have the Regulator on Return side of the Fuel Rail.

Supercharged K20 but I was wrong with the figure, looked out the plot and it was 194  In the end sold the car (something I now regret :( ) with the LSD still in. Another SE member now enjoys the car, well sort of.

Ken,

I don't see the need for 2 filters, i would have one from the OEM Pump and leave it at that.

If you do have a Feed/Return Fuel Rail I would use it, your 2nd pump should feed the rail and the return feed should be regulated on its way to the Swirl Pot Return.

Again, only one mans opinion

Dan, I did not cut the chassis, just the top ali plate behind the seats. It has a round screwed on cover anyway, just need to enlarge it a bit.

Craig will remember better as he fitted the same pump.

That's a structural part of the chassis Tut. Depends how you've cut it to how much difference it makes to the strength of the chassis but I can't see the point in cutting it at all when dropping the tank takes hardly any more time.
