Kames is atypical as it is extremely hard on tyres and is somewhat uniquely harsh, both the number of hard corners and the surface . . . most people on things like ACB-10's are overheating in anything like dry conditions in about 2 laps . . . but unless you're loaded you really need to go with one tyre as familiarity is probably more important than ultimate grip . . . I'd agree the V70's are the tyre to use on an Elise . . . and until they ban them the ACB-10/A24 on the caterham type cars . . .

Good thing about V70's ad ACB10's is that you only need one set, they also work in the wet . . . having to carry two sets of wheels and tyres everywhere is a pain in the ass . . .

my car will be driven to the events (you can't do a tow bar to an S4) I have a set of wheels with T1r's fitted, my other set has 888's that ain't road legal.

Was planning to go for the Khumohs and a set of Rota Alloys.

Don't want to be driving hundreds of miles on the sticky Tyres when I have T1r's already on wheels.
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....

H John,

I was up there yesterday and your parts had not arrived from Eliseparts yet so may be worth calling them to see where they are? Or a call to Ali would probably clear up any quieries as he'll most likely know better than anyone on here :damnfunny

Catch you soon

Actually . . . if the milage is not really excessive I think arriving at the event on pre-scrubbed, warmed, de-greased tyres is probably a bonus . . . certainly when I pull the car out of the trailer it's difficult to trust the tyres . . . probably partially psycological, but then so much of this kinda stuff is . . .

I was thinking about just running on the acb10's to get me to doune/forrestburn - will probably just run 48's at Fintray as I don't think I'll have the same "team" support as last year
