yes and that's not correct for a complete engine either - is it?
however even that is not 15 kg different over a stock K at 84.5kg - is it?

I thought it was just me that had missed that point somewhere along the line! Is that genuinely the case? No king k engines in Loti out there at all?Scotty C wrote:sorry have i missed something.
You have never built one K series that is fitted into an elisenever mind one thats done lets say 10k miles and half a dozen trakdays driven by weekend wanabe racing driver.
Come back when you have proof please.
PS if that Honda weights so much i would be wearing steel toecaps not Hi-tech squash trainers

as has been asked must be 1000+ times before, who's and where are they now?KingK_series wrote: yes I have.....
and a stock K20 engine alone is 43kg heavier than a stock K, there is more wt too in the box + ancillaries............
so make the same non engine mods to a car with a K as with a K20 conversion - ie exhaust etc you are always going to add 50 odd kg doing a honda conversion and that's a lot to make up. -

and will you stop bleating on about +50Kg's, you know full well that's complete tosh.
you do realise that fly's in the face of your own post on this? don't you?KingK_series wrote:Scuffers wrote:KingK_series wrote: yes I have.....

- oh no it's not and you know it! there is 42kg difference between just the two [stock] engines!

no, the truth is that after 10+ years, you still have not got a clue.KingK_series wrote: the truth is I have had 5 blown K20's out of Elises here for a while, but all incomplete, so was dependent on others for weights, now I have definitive data.
