Already spoken to Jim about it but didn't tell Jen, didn't go down to well. Something about boot space ...... I'll just fit it and not tell her, worth the abuse to see the look on her face. Imagine returning with a handfull of bags to find an exhaust manifold where the boot use to be. :damnfunny

Jim asked me not to mention the price, sorry. It was very reasonable. Colin's lucky he even did it in the first place. He's very busy and it takes a lot of his time to travel to Balmedie to trial fit an exhaust etc ...

Just back from a run in Colin's car, everything is spot on. Needs a few bulbs, knocking noise from the front and rear tyres (even though he's had them for 2 months, arse).

M.O.T, run in and then mapping.

Hi Alan - Colin's car looks ace.

But you must be mad - what's the point in fitting such an exhaust to a perfectly usable road car? It's not like you need more power is it? And we all know the boot gets some use, if only to carry axle stands ;-)

Cheers,
Robin

Thought someone would mention the Axle Stand Incident,

Your right, the S1 has bags of power and makes a very good road/track car. I would like to even out my torque curve and the only way to do that is a good 421 manifold. I would only fit an over the top as 5mm driveshaft clearence isn't an option.

I will have a look at the Dyno results and go from there.

Who's Alin ? I'm putting 1000 easy miles on it to give it a chance.

See you tommorow, limited the revs to 4000. Enjoy your drive to the MOT station :thumbsup

Colin M.O.T'd the car this morning with no issues.

Covered 300 miles on the new Engine so I took a quick shot. Mapping is all over the place (as you would expect). Started working on the fueling and the injectors are running out of puff at 7300 rpm  , I will need to order bigger injectors before going any futher. Feel a bit better as the car is running well and its in my garage where Colin can't get his hands on it.

Couldn't agree more with the Colour, i think "Minging Blue" is the actual name of the paint. He is waiting until winter to paint the car Mustard Yellow.
