Mine looked like yours, take it up to Castle Park and they will redo it (name drop me :thumbsup ). Colin's is up there at the moment actually. All of my Carbon bits were under £100 to re finish and has tranformed the look of the car.

Ok,i've cocked up...

I've been ordering parts over the last few months and this month is no different. Basically set aside an amount from my wage and away I go. Phoned Caterham 2 days ago and ordered a few odds and ends to complete the suspension and MOT the car. Something I thought would cost £100 at most, so handed over my bank details and told the parts guy to send them up.

Big box from Caterham arrived this afternoon, everything present and correct then looked at the bill......£600 !!! and it's not the only thing i've ordered.

Payday is 4 weeks away, and i'm already twice my budget.

I would like to take this opertunity to tell Jen how much I love her XX

A lot of cash, but they are really stressed joints - in fainess to Caterham, they need to be top spec and I haven't found another supply of similar quality.

I looked up the part number and they are pretty much a one of, 17-4ph body with a teflon coated internals. You can only buy them from the states. You can't scrimp on key suspensions components, just didn't expect it/wished i would have asked the price :D

PLX wide band arrived yesterday as well, so looking forward to getting the car properly mapped.

Looking excellent

One thing to check is the lefthand engine mount. i think it is the new gusseted type but check as the old type used to snap all the time.

Also the dion back axle did you get it crack checked before power coating as there has been failures of these before.

As to dampers i bought a set of nitrous for the banana and they were worth every penny.

Also if you have decided the car is a keeper then make a bag seat and try it out. They make the cars uber comfy and cost washers. if you like it then get it upholstered instead of duct tape.

Cheers, Left hand engine mount is the new type, so should be ok . The axle is fine, as far as my eye can see anyway.

I had a bit of dilemma with the dampers. I could easily have bought Nitrons with the cost of the original suspension but I like the way it handled so why change it ? Only problem was they were too soft (leaking) and dropped through time causing the sump to ground out pretty much all the time. So all new billies with springs direct from Caterham. Basically all original and new :D

I fit in the Tillet seat fine, and never really liked the bag seats.

You will be pleased to know I carry a spare clutch cable, throttle cable and exhaust mount in the car at all times :D

As long as you know about the axle issues

As to the bag seats they look terrible but are excellent and cost bugger all to try.

As to the spares 100% guaratee you will never need them until you forget them
