It's a naming thing... I now see John was referring specifically to the little bit of the downpipe from the flexi back. Not that clear, as most people call the whole downpipe the 'flexi section'...

So he's right, I'm right, depends how you read it

When are you doing it Greg? and where?
lol at you lot :D

I'm out of ideas when it comes to fitting. Lawrence's lift is AFAIK not available and I had/have no plan B. Tried calling Falkland but they didn't get back to me, and Judes are chokka for 3 weeks :? Could squeeze me in and fit for 100 notes, but its getting the car down to geordieland :(

Add to that the complication that I only have a wee extension on my MOT re-test from Kwikfit (till around a week's time), and the car is currently SORN, it'll need to get trailered wherever its going....

Greg,

I would offer but currently have a VOR S2 sitting in there until I can sort out another back box (working on it at present)

Given that and that I'm fairly flat out at work until after the weekend and I don't have the kind of facility to sort any issues should something go snap.......

Sorry mate, but it's looking like axle stands.

Guys,
The definative answer and pictures are here
http://www.mgf.ultimatemg.com/group2/ex ... rences.htm

Also Both Robin's shed and my car have the mgtf intermediate system fitted which has the six stud flange but still utilises the standard S1 cat.
As a wee bonus i think the pipes may be slightly bogger bore but i'm not sure.

I have got the later six stud manifold and mgtf front pipe, its a larger bore with better welds but I had to move the rear hanger further back by grinding the old one off and rewelding once in postion whilst cutting the mgtf one off
