I could just fit one like that which a custom (removable) lever - something like th set up in the bimmer. I take it that as long as the brake fluid stays out side the cabin then I should be fine?

There are lots of cars with brake lines inside, I don't think that's a problem in any way.

Cool - happy handle on it's way (once I've got the car MOTed)

Think I'll stick the handbrake cylinder on the engine side of the fire wall and make the lever longer. With the use of clevis & split pins I can always remove it for track work.
