3255bhp with no head work?? So if those figures could be improved with head work??? Maybe another 10bhp taking it up to 335bhp?? Considering the n/a cars are lighter than the supercharged that's giving pretty much the same power to weight ratio as a supercharged evora. Just wondering if the mods have any effect on emissions and the cars passing their mot?

The heads are pretty good as they are.

What you're not seeing with the SC comparison is the torque spread difference.

Quite why Lotus didn't do the above and then SC it is beyond me.

One gets the impression that the Evora install is as much about packaging as power in stock form. Not seen how the exhausts are routed, but I'd bet they weren't optimised lengths, plus it's packed pretty tight on top - perhaps not a lot of room for decent inlet manifold. Amazing what some space to let it breath may do...

And as pointed out earlier they have to leave a margin of error to minimise warranty issues. A company the size of Lotus can't sustain warranty claims like the big boys, in fact this might be one reason the Elise actually didn't make them the profits it might have done.

They're not particularly extravagant manifolds either, they just work very well.

No Scotty, it's still not finished yet :( :( :( :( I'm working in Lisbon for another 4-5 weeks and hope to collect it when I get back, well that's assuming it finished by then. There's only the undertrays to finish modifying, MOT and a proper road test.
