Les,

Interesting result. Well done.

As has been proven, there do remain other perfectly capable specialists out there, the trick is tracking them down and being assured of a good enough result on a bespoke and theoretically irreplaceable item!

If you haven't already, it's worth mentioning this lot to MMC. In the same way as Willie at CLCM has been a small-scale class act for wheel alignment and tyre fitting for them over the years, the Sailmakers could find themselves on a useful referral basis too? I believe MMC have had dealings with David Hannen before as well. He did some decent seat-trimming for my Elise, 1st time around, although I subsequently changed to Corbeau inserts which I self-installed and they are even better.

And I was absolutely very impressed with Chris (Corranga's) results on his completely re-done seats.

Me, for the roof I'll probably enlist the mother-in-law when the time comes, who's a dab hand with a sewing machine ;-)

Fortunately I have two spare ones, and also sold a brand new one from N1 that had never been used when I bought the car at five years old.

David Hannen did full interior on my Esprit.. Was very good! I believe MMC use Ramsay's in Loanhead. I have seen David hannen with lots of soft tops in when he had my car and he seems to be very handy with them. I've not seen any of Ramsays work but he has a great reputation but I think he's a little more expensive so there are still options out there :thumbsup
