I had a bit of dilemma with the dampers. I could easily have bought Nitrons with the cost of the original suspension but I like the way it handled so why change it ? Only problem was they were too soft (leaking) and dropped through time causing the sump to ground out pretty much all the time. So all new billies with springs direct from Caterham. Basically all original and new :D

I fit in the Tillet seat fine, and never really liked the bag seats.

You will be pleased to know I carry a spare clutch cable, throttle cable and exhaust mount in the car at all times :D

Alan
As long as you know about the axle issues

As to the bag seats they look terrible but are excellent and cost bugger all to try.

As to the spares 100% guaratee you will never need them until you forget them
What is/who makes the inner CV joints ? looks like you have to remove a metal surround to replace the cv gator (like an old ford joint).

I believe the latest shafts are manufactured for Caterham, that's not to say they don't follow the Ford pattern, just that they don't use Ford sourced parts. Even if you tracked down the manufacturers, I suspect they would't supply as Caterham contracts tend to monopolise the supply of bespoke parts.

Alan if you're doing the CV boots I've a complete new set in the cupboard if you're interested. Bought as part of a job lot of spares from another sevener. They're standard Sierra parts but were supplied from Caterham. The kit comes with the rubber boot, metal can, clips, seals & grease.

Sadly Mr Boom has a bad case of HGF and big lazy ginger disorder, when the two meet you end up with an Elise that hasn't moved in 2 months (and 3 mini's but who's counting). Me and Gav will need to go round and stir him up.....won't be pretty.

Doing my best to make it, would be great to join the SE campers.

I've learned my lesson though Mikey, no shinny paint. Fix the mechanicals, F*ck the paint and enjoy it.

I've been trying to get him for 3 days to give him money. Maybe he needs a cuddle.

Yep thats why it will be the 205 from now on round Knockhill. Then ill just be able to laugh about it.
2 hour session round Knockhill left the paint in tatters. 8 hours round Spa hardly a mark.
