Knockhill here you come.
(Kaboom? - is it fit to drive in track just because emissions pass...?)

Phhhheeewwwwwww! Great effort!
Re: Massive Over Fueling - Emerald
Good news Ferg.
So is the wideband simply set up to monitor and be able to view in the software or is it replacing the narrowband O2 sensor?
My initial thoughts were that it was the narrowband o2 that was at fault as this is normally used in open loop on idle and cruise to get Stoich or 14.7 AFR. Not sure how emerald works though or even how you could get a good idle AFR without using the feedback from the o2.
p.s. if you need someone to drive or monitor while you drive so you can fine tune the maps then give me a shout, I used to go out after 10pm and do my on road tuning in the Evo which seemed a good time to do it.

Drivers list for Ferg to do the mapping....Ferg wrote:So...adaptive mode is very cool, but at idle rpm its not as effective. So used the manual mode and have got 14.4 at both natural idle and 1500 and 2000 rpm. Above that it's a bit hit or miss at a standstill and needs load. This will need someone in the passenger seat updating it while the car is moving. Going to get it tested at this.
I disabled adaptive mode around the idle related sites. Out of interest, for high load sites, is there a danger of leaving adaptive on all the time? Should it only be enabled for periods of tuning?

Re: Massive Over Fueling - Emerald

Above 2.5 rpm and 5 % throttle position the map is unchanged. Should be fine for KH. There is scope to do a bit of adaptive mapping on track though ... Tempting. Need to get the decat Pipe back on etc and were good to go. Looking forward to coming home, car to play with and a whole weekend of car antics to wash away the working week

Re: Massive Over Fueling - Emerald
After all that, should have fitted a VW ECU......
