windscreen washers

Post by Trap 125 » Wed Sep 12, 2007 8:46 pm

My washers have gradually got weaker & weaker and are now spraying out a pathetic 5 inch piddle of water. There is plenty of water in the reservoir and the motor sounds enthusiastic. Any body got any ideas or suggestions why they have slowly become pathetic?

My s2 exige did this; remove the pump from the washer bottle (pull it vertically, its only push fit) and then water bottle from the engine bay, my little rubber grommit in the bottle was all clogged up with mouldy gunk. Cleared it, blew it through with a hose, and it was fine.
