Engine Oil Monitoring

Post by Matelotman » Fri Sep 28, 2007 6:02 pm

I'm thinking of fitting oil temp & pressure gauges to my S1 ??
Anyone got any recommendations for gauges / gauge pods?
I was thinking of the stereo replacement pod from EP (never use it anyway) but there are a million different makes of gauge with varying prices. :scratch

If you wait another month or so, we will have new line of gauges.

Hopefully, the gaugepod for the S1 will be cheaper then aswell :)

There will be two different gauge lines:

Low cost: simple white dials with sensors included.

Top of the range: black dials with 270 degree scales. Steppermotor driven with digital pressure sensor (exactly the same as SPA is using). High precision with programmable alarm buzzer and light.

The good news is that both will be a lot cheaper then what you've seen in the market so far.

The gauges are in production at this moment and are expected here in about 30 days.

Thanks

Low cost sounds good - I wouldn't be needing the top of the range stuff,it's really only to give me an indication

I'll keep a look out on your site

The only reason for me to also to top of the range stuff is the alarm function and the fact that it's 270 degrees scale makes it possible to actually see the oil coming up to temp.

My first thought was to go for the low cost solution aswell, but after trying the others, I'm addicted to them :)
