No worries, to be fair if you split the gearbox you can lift it out by hand with 2 of you. The engine itself isn't that heavy.

.. and that's I ended up doing when my mate came round :thumbsup Lifted the bottom end in myself. The GM engines are no K-Series, but not too bad being all-alloy.

Anyone know the correct type of socket for the calliper bolts on an Exige V6?

The bolt is 70x12m but the head looks like torx - but with 100nm for the front callipers and 80nm for the rear it may be torx plus or RIBE.

Any ideas? With such high torque, trying the wrong socket will likely end up with a mangled bolt head........

Does deroure have a parts manual on line for it?

It does - but lists the head as lobe - which covers torx, torx+ and RIBE
