2bular Exhaust

Post by Kev » Mon Oct 01, 2007 7:27 pm

Well I've eventually ordered my 2bular exhaust, cant wait to get it, 3 weeks and counting :D :D :D . Just a quick question, is there anything worth changing when I do it? I know I'll have to change the bolts etc but not sure about the exhaust mounts. Should I change them anyway?

I would be surprised if they were worn or perishing, my s2 had done 70+k miles when I changed the exhaust and only one hangar had been changed and the rest were fine, no cracks and still a snug fit.

This reminds me (sorry for the post hijack  ) . . .

JJ, my 2bular is due through in a week or two. Fancy helping me fit it? Want to do it myself this time but it would be good to have a helping hand from someone who's done it before! :D

Change the rubbers  They are only a few £££ and a PITA to change if they break.

Check the heatshield is still fitted ok and re-attach, or is that ratty old S1s?

Think I'll just change them, never realised how cheap they are. Anybody know the sizes of the bolt etc for the exhaust? Trying to get everything organised for when it arrives

Cheers

I went into a local nut and bolt place and picked up som M10 bolts and nuts and some washers - they were the same cat to exhaust fixings on both my s1 and s2 - was only a couple of quid.

Got nothing useable at my place. I'll pop round to Hendegs place, grampian fastners, they'll cost pennies
