What a muppet, I was trying to replace my fuel filler surround with a new black one but one of the hex type screws was really tight and I have only went and made a hex hole into a round one :roll: :oops:

any suggestions please?

Try a torx bit instead.

failing that it's drilling time!

you could try tapping it round with a center punch or a small say M5 Spiral point tap it's risky as it could / will skite and if your not carefull damage things

Torx bit applied with a hammer. Use a halfords professional bit, and take it back if it snaps.

I broke one doing something similar and the muppet on the desk just swapped it despite that fact the ratchet end was all mangled fomr the hammer... :P
