help please

Hi All

Need a little help please,I have a problem with the idle on my car,comes and goes,and seems to be fuel related.I was in there today (after my monthly alternator change) moving the loom about ,and if I move the fuel rail plug,wiring ,it changes the idle speed?

I was playing around with the plug with the engine running,and disconnected it,the engine cut out,as it would,so plugged it back in,and now it will not start

Any ideas??

Also,rewired my wideband,as I had it connected wrong.Cut the plug of the std lambda and connected it up to that,as I thought it would be a switched 12v and all was ok,till I started the engine. When I rev it,it was switching on and off,and now I no longer have 12v ?????

I hate electrics

Any thoughts,other than a match and a can of petrol

And to think its been running fine untill you touched it ....... matches on the way

What ECU are you using - I guess you've gubbed it by disconnecting while the engine was running ... but it may not be terminal. You may also have popped a fuse by pulling the ECU while heavy currents are flowing, so worth checking that out.

Meanwhile I have an emerald that you can borrow if you promise not to break it

I am not sure I understand your Lambda question - I could pop over tomorrow night and take a look at it all, and bring the emerald over at the same time if that helps?
