Can you fit a Starter Button to an exige s or does it have to be factory fitted?

Probably of no use but all 2008 Lotus models will come with started button as standard.

Don't do it. You still need to put the key in the ignition and turn it on. Cannot see the point of doing that to then press a button. However it will be possible on just about any car to put a push button switch in parallel with the ignition switch.
