Tomorrows trackday will finish off my rears.

Can anyone give me a quick run down of best prices and fitting local to Weedgieland for Advan 48's or Toyo R888's.

Thanks muchly.

Not sure if they are any good?

How do they compare to the 48s?

I know of a place in killie that is a Toyo dealer - not sure on current prices (esp S2 sizes) and I'll be brutally honest, I take my rims there and watch like a hawk. Maybe not the best with a shiny new Exige & black wheels.....

Try ordering online (blackcircles.com or mytyres.com, to name two) and getting someone local to fit - that might work out slightly cheaper. Don't think you're gonna get much discount with R888s or 048s TBH, bit of a limited market....

On a slightly related matter, I'm investigating some West coast servicing & setup stuff on Thursday (bit cloak n dagger at the mo) and will post if I get any interesting results.

Tried those two plus camskill.co.uk, best I could get was 175 on AO48 and 162 on R888. Add on to that a tenner for delivery and 20 for fitting and it doesnt usually work out any cheaper.

Going to try Wheelsaround but 154 for R888's at drivers is looking best.

Kenny

I paid £360 for my four 888's inclusive of VAT and fitting from my local garage Duthiemotors.

However that was for 15/16" and probably at cost.

ps They were pretty poor in the wet when the tread got below 2.5mm.

How much does CLCM charge for fitting?

Tyre price is good but add cost of fitting and getting them to somewhere cheap to fit usually doesnt work out any cheaper.

not exige tyres - but interestingly i got 2 new rears fitted at lotus sport for my 111R. (Bridgestones)

each tyre was 170 quid inc vat + fitting - and then i got 10% off of that for being a lotus club member...

that 50 quid per tyre cheaper than MMC charged me...

I think willie charged £23 to fit both my rears.

I got my bridgestones from event for £224 so thats £247(£123.50 a side) all in. Cheapest way I think I could have done it.
