im in the middle of replacing my steering rack. ive been trying for the last hour to get it out but theres just not enough room to turn it and pull it down to withdraw the spindle from the bulkhead. the fact that theres so many captive nuts catching on it isnt helping either.
am i missing something or is there some sort of knack to it?

ye i just knocked off one of the captive nuts the was poking into the recess in the back of the rack and jamming it up. it wasnt being used anyway.

the worst bit is connecting the UJ on the column. i had my legs out the roof and back twisted 90deg.
never mind thats it now, new quick ratio titan rack. the old ones inner balljoint was well knackered!il get it aligned tomorrow.
which leads to my next question.....

seeing as the elise will have been 'de tuned' to make it less tail happy. has any one got any trick track day or fast road toe settings i can get dialed in tomorrow?

Been in that position several times, dont you just love loti ownership  Dont know what you want as far as toe settings but Ive always just used the standard 340R settings(road setup). If you have the manuals all the recomended settings are there. Cheers Wallace.
