radiator leak s2 111s

Is it a big job to replace the radiator? :roll:
Do not know if it is cracked or if it is a hose!!!!

If you need to replace it mate its clam off. Am sure someone will be along soon to tell you if it can be fixed.

Join the club.
Clam off job to replace, don't replace with another standard one, get one of the full aluminium ones off eliseparts.
It's not too difficult if you want to tackle it yourself, I did mine and tankfeet did his too IIRC.

Not too bad to do. It is the plastic end fittings that leak on many as they are sh**te .

As with anything when you have done it once.

as Si says the upgraded ones are definately worth it.

The normal one will die at some stage, almost guaranteed!

Ali's done about 10 of these since he started SLS alone, let alone god knows how many at MMC before that.

If you need some advice give him a shout.

cheers for the fast replys ..I had a look on the elise parts website and i will go for the all singing... dancing.... ratiator. I wil start tomorrow stripping the clam. :x

There is a bit in the SELOC wiki page about doing an S2 rad incl taking the clam off.

If you are doing it in a narrow garage remove the bolts and the screws around the door area from the front clam before you put it in . I was stupid and made its very awkward as I had the front wheels off and could not open the doors .

New radiator is installed and the car is al most back together.
