Job For The New Year

Post by 111Robin » Sun Dec 30, 2007 7:02 pm

It's 9 months now since I cracked the front clam hitting a deer. It wasn't bad enough to put me off the road therefore I used the car as is throughout the year. I would however like to have it repaired before spring time arrives hence this post :

1. Assuming I can loosen all of the fasteners, I'd be looking for a volunteer around Aberdeenshire to give me a lift off.

2. Concensus on GRP repair appears to be PPS in Inverurie however they don't paint therefore looking for advice on where to go for the finishing. Alternatively if there is anyone else that comes recommended that can do the whole job, please advise.

3. Is there anyone with a trailer or large van that could help me shift it from place to place ?.

Any help provided will be suitably reimbursed of course.

If you talk to Kieth at PPS and live localish they might pick up your clam for you, did mine. Fantastic job, really good repair and half the front air dam was missing on mine. Can't help with the painting bit, did mine in a rush with Halfords colour match paint!!!, not even close but to be fair metallic is a bugger to spray and match from a tin. If you need a hand give me a shout, home till the 8th.

One place that would give you a top notch paint job is Kinghorn Autobody in Blackburn. You will Pay for it mind but they do all my touch ups on the 911 and boxster before that. First class job, guy to talk to is Kevin Kinghorn.

Thank's for the replies guys. It would be handy if PPS could pick the clam up, I'll talk to Keith about this. Once I have everything loosened off I'll post to see who's around to help.
