Blue Pagids :(

Post by Jamie84 » Sun Jan 20, 2008 4:05 pm

I didnt even think when I opened the box and looked at them , but when the pagids are on they are noticably blue , it looks like I have painted them in a chav like manner .

So I am gonna paint the actuall pad itself black , not the caliper just the back of the pad .

Whats the best paint to use for this hammerite ? Is there much heat on the back of the pad itself?

Be careful - the pad is designed to transfer heat through it's back plate - unless you find it totally unacceptable for them to be blue I wouldn't worry about it - they will soon be black with brake dust ;-)

Cheers,

It is kinda bothering me to be honest , I know alot of people drive these cars purly for the driving experiance but for me lot of it has to do with the way the car looks . Whats the worst that could happen if I paint them black ?

The paint will burn off adn you will be left with blue pads with black charred bits around them...

Make sure it's good for 500 deg C...good luck!

Bed them in properly and they'll be black in no time, honest! :)
Or change to RS14 - they're black to start with. Bit squeally though... :D

In fact I think RS 4-4s are orange...

Dont do it..............!

Wouldn't risk screwing ur Pagids for the sake of a bit of paint.

Stopping safe is more important
