Pads and discs to get fitted - anyone needing beer tokens ?

Post by Lazydonkey » Tue Feb 21, 2006 7:23 pm

Car needs a service next week and an MOT in march and I'm being pro-actove for once and chaging things before I get a stupid quote from Vauxhall to fit pads and discs.

So the cheeky question is.......is there anyone nearby who wouldn't mind helping me (well fitting tbh) my pads and discs for me? Brunty assures me its the same set up as the Lizzy.

You get to see a VX220 up close 8)

Mail me or pm me if you are interested :D

Martin,

How does Sunday afternoon suit?

Providing I don't have too much of a hangover :D

If it's another visit to Mac's garage I may just pop round and be of no use at all, although I do bave a brake wind back tool.

If I'm at a loose end, I may pop up and indulge in some leaning-on-shovel-sucking-air-through-my-teeth action...

Just a wee note to say a big thanks to Mac and Stephen for helping me out today - was good to meet JJ and Dave too.

.....was probably worth it just to the look on JJ's face when he first set eyes on the softtop on his elise. Someone really should have told him it was a convertible months ago.

Indeed, big thanks to mac for wrestling with the standard S1 exhaust to get it on and boohoo to Stephen for taking home the Jelly babies by the time I had returned from town!

My car is now back to completely standard and it looks weird!

Overtime pffff....

I was building a stage/sound system/lights for the Ayrshire Hospice Grand Ball at Turnberry. The chap who was supposed to be helping called in sick, so I had to do it all myself...

Not fun. Not a happy Shug today.

I used to be a part time lighting rigger....or that tw@t up a ladder as I prefer. Nothing like changing a bulb in a lamp that's been on for an hour up a 20" ladder. The memories: there is nothing like the smell of burning arm hair.

Sigh.

Stupid hours on occasions.

They sent round a working time survey at my last place when we had a stage director, a stage hand and me doing lights and sound. I was doing 8 hours at work and 12 hours there. Put a hole in their stats I can tell you.

You have my sympathy.

We are possibly looking for a sound and lighting set up for our summer work do, large-ish afair poss 350-500 pax. You want more work, or do you have enough? (24 Jun)
