Hi

Anyone know where to get this stuff in the Glasgow area?

Tried Halfords, tried Andrew Watts. No luck.

Cheers

First time I bought coolant I hunted without sucess for wot the manual says....
Consensus was just get whatever your motor factor stocks- as long as it's an orange OAT type it should be fine, and far cheaper too most likely

Btw, the stuff I got was actually Comma Super Long Life Red- well under a tenner for 2L IIRC.

Thanks Bertie.

Did you mix the red stuff with the orange coolant already in the system?

Or did you replace all the coolant in the system with red?

I only really need to top up a bit now and again. Topping up with some water at the moment as I'm trying to suss out if i'm leaking coolant somewhere in the system.

If you got on fine mixing the red and orange i'll probably just pick some of that up, though the manual doesn't seem to like the idea of mixing different kinds. If I can get away with it i'd rather avoid flushing and bleeding the whole system, etc.

Anyway, thanks for the reply :)

Cheers

I was replacing the radiator (common cuplrit for leaks btw- the plastic end-caps are s**t), so 'twas a total refill job......

Someone with some better knowledge on the day shift will no doubt be along soon to answer

As long as you get the right colour you will be fine. Chances are if you ask the parts guy for coolant he will say red or green anyway!

OAT is Red/Orange/Pink
MEG is Green/Blue
