Nitron lengths

Post by tut » Thu Feb 14, 2008 12:04 pm

A request from Craig Wallace as his internet is down. Could any body find out the length of Nitron shocks for an S2 Exige. This is from top bolt hole to bottom one, not spring length. And different for front and rear. He spoke to Guy at Nitron which is the obvious starting point, but drew a blank.

Ideally he would like to take the Nitrons off his S1 and fit them to his Exige S, but I believe that they are different lengths.

Cheers

Tut, with other suspension units, the Toyota rears do not fit K powered rear suspension and vice versa. As you say, the Toyota suspension is far longer. I'd assume therefore Nitrons are the same.

2nd hand S1 Nitrons always seem to get snapped up really quickly, and at a good price. Wouldn't he be better selling the Nitrons and then sell the Exige Bilsteins (a lot of 111r owners seem to buy these) to make up the difference? A bit more hassle but he could end up with shiny new S2 Exige Nitrons without having to spend any money.
