Not urgently needing to know this now as I have since bought, but has got me curious as the seller has just replied to me when I asked him a few days ago what make this was and he has replied saying it is a Janspeed

Certainly isn' t a Roadsport or Supersport - did they make any others ?
I don't recognise it from any of the usual suspects - looks closest to a Larini clubsport, but isn't that either. I imagine with those very small baffle/silencer boxes it would be quite loud !
Starting to think it might have a made in Taiwan/HK/China sticker on the reverse... Anyone any ideas ?

Hi DJ - where did you get that?
Looks IDENTICLE, like spot on the same, as the one I had on my Elise.
It's from Japan.. 108 d/b of pure noise
It was on my quartz S2 Elise that I sold to Dream Machines down south, so if it came up from England its prob the same one

p.s - its prob the loudest exhaust you can get for an Elise.
I had it next to my mates club sport Larini and it sounded twice as loud

Currently for sale in SELOC classifieds. Guy says it was on a 135R he recently bought. But seeing as he thinks it is a Janspeed, he may not know the model of the Elise he has bought either ! (your last car was a 111S - right ?) so could be yours...

DJ... if you mean adamrthompson from seloc, then it's definitely a 135R he has recently bought, so it's not X7LDA's old 111s.
I remember looking at his pictures/thread after he bought it... it's a mica blue one. If I was a betting man, I'd say ity was this one

The ad said it was a Larini Club Sport so would explain this guy thinking it was a larini, but as you say, the silencers look too small.
I have no signature.

Similar design to the larini on my esprit, due to the shape it flows a lot more out the right hand tail pipe as it's the easiest route for the gas to take, very noisey and quitens down a fair bit if you block up the laft hand pipe, both mine are open!! hahahah

Very noisey! I plan to have a plate inserted down the centre of the bend to the Y split to even out the flow to each pipe... I think Ali at SLS had something very similar in his place he showed me some time ago???? looks great!

Its not just the silencer boxes that are a lot smaller from a Larini. The exit pipes are also a lot smaller, almost the exact same width as a 111s standard pipes!!! Therefore definately not the exhaust on the car in the pistonheads ad...
There is actually a new design since I bought mine - which looks quite nice

Trust me though its maybe not the "my" old exhaust but its definately the same...

p.s. Mark's right about the pipe flow... It comes more of the right pipe than the left

Yep, that's the guy. I see ad says its a Larini Clubsport but adamrthompson replied on U2U saying it was a Janspeed

Still don't think it's either !! The pipes fill the holes in the rear grill nicely though on that Pistonheads ad.

If exhaust/car/owner are all one and the same, looks like both previous and current owner are wrong in their descriptions.

The pipes in the add are for a Larini.... Which the one above is not...
http://www.elise-shop.com/index.php?mai ... cts_id=145 you can even tell just by looking at this pic its not the same..
You need to trust me..

I had one..
Its not a Janspeed (as any Janspeed owner will tell you...) and its not a Larini..
How much is it up for sale for? I bought mine at 100 buqs from a guy on seloc. 200 quid brand new on ebay..

I know it isn't a Larini or Janspeed - per my original post.
Guy wants £80 for it. So if anyone fancies a lot of noise.....
