Damaged Alloy's Repair/Replace

Post by Mikie711 » Thu Apr 24, 2008 7:12 am

After getting my wheels balanced it turns out I have managed to buckle one and have a flat spot on the inside lip of the other :( :( .
Having trolled through loads of articles and web sites about this subject I non the wiser as to weather this is OK to do or not.

So in the best SE tradition I will let the collective expertise of the forum decide.

The buckled wheel has about a 5mm run out so it's not bad and would cost about £50-60 to straighten.

The dent in the other one would be about the same as it's only the sealing lip thats deformed the inside of the wheel is untouched.

Both wheels are 15" rimstocks BTW
