Hi
Whilst reading through this section of the forum I noticed that several people recommended periodically cleaning the IACV so as I was in the area, (trying to fix my no cranking S2 K series), I decided it could do no harm to clean mine. It took about 30 minutes to get the thing off, the two lower Torx screws having to be undone a quarter of a turn at a time. Not wishing to have to repeat this performance I slotted the two lower monting holes of the IACV which now allows removal of the valve after only loosening the lower attachments. Time to re-fit the valve......a couple of minutes.

Good mod. Other thing that can be useful is a decent flexible extension bar to put the torx bit in.

1/4" rachet spanner with 5p coin taped to the back to stop the bit sliding out the back.
works a treat

Ahh!! so many ways to skin a cat
Best bit about slotting the attachments is that it reduces the chance of dropping the Torx fasteners when refitting
