does this help ?

or if you are measuring the distance from the front of the wheel to the back you need to know the length you are measuring over width of the rim [A] and how much you want it to measure toe [O]

Say you want it 3mm of difference and you are measuring over 300mm

Tan (Angle) = [O] / [A]
Tan (Angle) = 3 / 300
Tan (Angle) = 0.01
Inv Tan (on calculator) 0.01 = 0.5729 Decimal Degree's
0.5729*60 = 34.376 minutes
0.376 minutes *60 = 22.56seconds

So 3mm measured over 300mm = 0 D 34 m 22.56 s

Hope I have everything right it was done in a hurry with no time to double check :P

1.2mm of toe in equates to 0.18 degrees (decimal).

0.2mm is 0.03 decimal degrees, so if you want 1.8mm that would be 9*0.2=1.8mm, 9*0.03degrees=0.27degrees.

To convert decimal degrees to degrees and minutes 1 degree is 60 minutes, 1/60 = 0.016 degrees. So to go the other way (from decimal degrees to degrees and minutes) multiply the part after the decimal point by 60.

So for standard settings:

1.2mm of toe in equates to 0.18 decimal degrees equates to 0 degrees, 11 minutes.

Cheers,
Robin
