Sound Insulation Foam

Post by Edin430 » Mon Jun 02, 2008 9:20 pm

Does anyone know how much it is from Lotus?

Tried to call them today and just couldn't get hold of anyone.

I believe you get foam to go behind the bulkhead, top and bottom, and for other certain areas?

Breakdown of cost?

I tried to convince her they were the way forward...... But no... If I want my sports cat she wants sound proofing.

Nothing like a woman scorned...

erm... so what's the point making it louder then quietening it down?

Can't see the sports cat releasing any horses - maybe 2-5 if you're really lucky. You'd go faster by taking a dump before setting off...

Maybe I'm missing something :?:

The best solution would be to take it to a car audio place and have the seats removed and the whole lot Dynamatt`ed as thats proper sound insulation.

Seriously heavy though, the stuff in Philthys old car was like 10mm thick tar sheet.

But no point making car louder to the outside world and trying to quieten it down inside as Shug says.

I don't agree actually with that......

I appreciate the noise with the windows down or the roof off, when the windows are up and roof on all I hear is dings and noises from behind, that p!ss me off more than anything.. It's either make it mental loud again, and drain everything out, or enjoy the noise when I want and have peace and quiet the rest of the time.

With sound insulation I could have the best of both worlds. Simple :)
